Khanna institute ties up with Microsoft
To upgrade the skills of engineering students,especially in the field of information technology,Microsoft IT Academy made a presentation at the Gulzar Institute of Engineering & Technology in Khanna. As part of this programme,Microsoft will be providing training to students on various computer applications including programming skills.
Nitin Vashista,senior marketing consultant of the Microsoft Academy told that the students of B tech and BCA will be undergo online training in programming languages,database management,web development,system engineering apart from other specialized IT fields. After the successful training modules,the students will get certified by Microsoft.
Sewerage,water connection of Surya Kiran Mall disconnected
Ludhiana: The Municipal Corporation today disconnected the sewerage and water connection of Surya Kiran Mall. Disclosing this,P S Ghumman,Zonal commissioner MC,Zone-D said,An amount of Rs 7.35 lakh was lying pending against Surya Kiran Mall as sewerage and water charges. We had sent them repeated notices and reminders but to no avail.
He further said the MC had recovered Rs 1.49 lakh as water and sewerage charges from various defaulters.
Annual prize distribution function held at Greenland school
Ludhiana: Greenland Senior Secondary School on Monday organised its annual prize distribution function.
A K Sinha,Commissioner,Municipal Corporation,Ludhiana,and Dr S S Gill,Senior Superintendent of Police,Ludhiana,was the chief guest on the occasion.
Addressing the students,Rajesh Rudhra,chairman of the school,said,The government should start educating poor children in slum areas to curb the menace of begging and for helping the poor in the real sense. So the government should consider the view point of the educationists while framing policies related to education.
