The two-day national level technical symposium Technovision’ 10 concluded at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College on Sunday. The symposium witnessed technical activities including paper presentation,design contests,young manager contests and so on. On the concluding day,a panel discussion on energy crisis in Punjab was also conducted.

Woman held with country liquor
CHANDIGARH: The UT police have arrested a woman identified as Krishan from near her house in Sector 29 and recovered 15 quarters of country wine ‘Marka Santra’ from her possession. The police have registered a case under Section 61,1,14 of Excise Act in Industrial Area police station.

Paediatric oncology workshop held at DMCH
The department of Paediatrics,DMCH,and Arpita Cancer Society jointly licked off a two-day Practical Pediatric Oncology Workshop in Dumra Auditorium on Sunday. On the occasion,Suresh Munjal,on behalf of the Arpita Cancer Society,briefed the audience about functioning of the society which was formed in August 2008,and has till now provided leukemia treatment to six children at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital.

Drishti School holds orientation programme
Drishti Dr R C Jain Innovative Public School held an orientation programme for the parents to apprise them about the new CBSE format which is expected to be introduced this year. Sudesh Ahlawat,director,said,“We felt it was fit to tell the parents about the new learning methods and grading methods that the school will be adopting under the guidelines of CBSE.”
