2 surrender in PAU professor murder case

With two of the absconding persons accused in the murder of Professor Charanjeet Malhi surrendering on Sunday,all the five accused,including the deceased’s son Simrat and wife Nimanjeet Kaur have been arrested.

Two accused ¿ one Mandeep Singh,a resident of BRS Nagar and Harshdeep alias Harry,a resident of Miller Ganj — surrendered in court and before the police at Sarabha Nagar police station respectively. Both of them are Simrat’s classmates and were accused in the murder and were absconding since then. Sources said the duo will be produced in court tomorrow.

Dr Malhi was allegedly stabbed at his house in BRS Nagar,on Thursday morning by his son Simrat,who was accompanied by three of his friends. While police said Simrat is the main accused in the case,Simrat has denied the allegation. He said it was his friend Mandeep who stabbed his father.
