The Samajwadi Party Sunday termed the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) an assemblage of anarchic elements and praised the people of the state who,by keeping themselves away from the untimely parikrama yatra, foiled the attempts of creating communal disharmony in the state. In a statement,SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said the VHP members attack on the SP head office in New Delhi was a blatant display of the fascist mindset of the organisation. With this action, the VHP has proved that it has no faith in democracy and no respect for the Constitution. It is an assemblage of anarchic elements and it wants to impose its dictatorship on every one, Chaudhary said, demanding the Centre to take strict action against disruptive elements. He said that despite the high courts refusal to consider VHPs parikrama yatra as religious and traditional, the outfits insistence of continuing with it is a clear disregard for the law. Even the Sadhus and sants have refused to become pawns in the hands of communal forces, he added. He said that while former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav did not allow demolition of Babri mosque in his regime, the act was carried out when Congress was in power at the Centre.
