The Uttar Pradesh Police have booked a man who allegedly threatened Saharanpur Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sangeeta Raghav and sent abusive messages on her phone.

According to the police, the man identified as Sanjay Singh, of Deoria district, intimidated Raghav with dire consequences while seeking favour in a case.

The SDM on Wednesday lodged a First Information Report (FIR) with Kotwali police station in Saharanpur against Sanjay Singh after identifying his name through the Truecaller app. The caller had switched off his phone after threatening her, the police said.
