UID enrollment begins in Lucknow

The enrollment drive for Aadhaar,the Unique Identification Number (UID),began in Lucknow on Saturday. The process was undertaken by Karvy Data Management Services Limited which is assigned the task in the state by the National Securities Depository Limited(NSDL),the registrar for implementation of UID in the country.

The enrollment drive at the North Zone office of Karvy was inaugurated by Anil Kumar Sagar,district magistrate of Lucknow.

“Enrollment will also begin soon in other areas of the state. We will also be open on Sundays in order to facilitate the residents to avail the services all through the week,” said Nitin Saxena,vice-president and zonal head (North) of Karvy.
