On ATS radar,a teenager with travelling bag
Investigators from the Anti-Terrorist Squad are preparing the sketch of a teenage boy,carrying a travelling bag,who was seen sitting at Sheetla Ghat hardly an hour before the blast Tuesday evening. An official said the teenager was spotted by two priests and the description given by them is being used to make the sketch. He said the ATS would like to make its own efforts to locate the boy before deciding to release the sketch. The official stressed that it would be premature to treat the information about the boy as a clue or breakthrough. They were checking it out like a lot of other information,he said.
*In the past 48 hours,the investigators have examined hundreds of photographs,a video shot by a tourist,and questioned hundreds of people and scoured the blast site several times,but are yet to make a breakthrough. Investigating agencies are also scanning phone calls made to Pakistan and Nepal from Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh immediately before and after the incident.
*Besides the Uttar Pradesh ATS,the IB,NIA,Mumbai Police,Maharashtra ATS and several other agencies are involved in the investigation. A team from Gujarat police is arriving in Varanasi on Friday. The UP ATS has questioned some PCO operators in Varanasi and Azamgarh. They have also questioned labourers who were hired for renovation work at the Dashashawamedh Ghat last month ahead of the Bhavya Deepwali Mahotsav on November 21. Bhupendra Pandey
WiFi hacking: FIR lodged in Mumbai
An FIR has been registered against unidentified person/s for hacking into unsecured WiFi network in Navi Mumbai and allegedly concealing the existence of a design to wage war against India,police said on Thursday.
Maya for new security system for key spots
Chief Minister Mayawati directed the police to develop a new security mechanism for all sensitive and important towns of religious and tourism importance. The government will not tolerate laxity in maintaining law and order,she added.

Reports of samples collected from the blast site were expected to be available from the Forensic Science Lab in Agra on Friday,said ADG (Law and Order) Brij Lal.
