Shashtris son joins Congress

Sunil Shastri,former state power minister and son of the former Prime Minister,Lal Bahadur Shastri,joined Congress on Friday.

Sunil Shastri,former state power minister and son of the former Prime Minister,Lal Bahadur Shastri,joined Congress on Friday. He said he has full faith in the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and pledged to work to achieve Rahul Gandhis mission 2012. He called it a homecoming as he had left Congress around 11 years ago to join BJP.

Shastri said after leaving BJP he was never associated with any political party and worked for the benefit of labourers and farmers.

Shastri said a few months ago he had expressed his willingness to Sonia Gandhi to join the party. Today,I am formally joining unconditionally, said Shastri.
