Sacked cop stops CM’s cavalcade

Sacked police constable Brijendra Yadav,who now heads the Non Gazetted Police Welfare Association,and about 10 others stopped the Chief Minister’s cavalcade when he was returning to the police lines after the event. Brijendra even slammed the bonnet of the CM’s car shouting slogans. He demanded that his 21-point demands for the welfare of policemen should be considered as it was promised during electioneering by the Samajwadi Party. Taking strong note of the incident,ADG (Law and Order) Arun Kumar stated that some policemen in Varanasi have been sent to police lines for dereliction of duty.
