Man murders father,kills self in Sitapur

A man killed his father in an inebriated condition and later committed suicide by hanging himself in Sitapur districts Maholi area on Wednesday.

A man killed his father in an inebriated condition and later committed suicide by hanging himself in Sitapur districts Maholi area on Wednesday. The accused,Shravan Kumar alias Junglee (25),suspected that his father Ram Naresh (50) was having an illicit relationship with his wife Sangita,said police.

The incident took place around 1.30 am at Sunsada village. According to Sitapur SP Jyoti Narain,Shravans brother Guruvesh woke up hearing his father scream. When he rushed to the spot,he found Shravan attacking Ram Naresh with a sword. Before Guruvesh could raise an alarm,Shravan escaped leaving Ram Naresh critically injured. By the time the locals came to the house,he was dead. Later,the police were informed.

Around 6.30 am,the police were again informed that Shravan had been found hanging from a tree outside the village. He had committed suicide,said Narain. The SP added that Ram Nareshs residence was divided into two parts by a wall. While he used to live with Guruvesh in one side,Shravan used to stay with his wife Sangita and two children on the other.

The eldest of the brothers,Gangaram who lives in an adjacent house and locals,had told the SP that Ram Naresh had illicit relation with Shravans wife for the last few years. Shravan had sealed off his portion of the house from his fathers after he caught his father and wife in a compromising position. According to Gangaram,Shravan had returned home last night in an inebriated condition. He probably had caught his father again with his wife and killed him in a fit of rage,said Gangaram.
