Man critical after attack in Lucknow 

Unidentified miscreants struck at a house in the Adarsh Nagar area of Lucknow and attacked its occupant,leaving him seriously injured. The incident occurred around noon on Friday. The victim,26-year-old Mahendra Singh,runs a company that deals in artificial jewellery. He is originally from Almorah. According to the Alambagh police,Mahendra was alone at the house when the miscreants came on the pretext of asking him an address. They allegedly attacked him with a sharp weapon and escaped. Residents of the area rushed him to hospital where doctors said his condition was critical.
