Who’s in it? Sakshi Tanwar,Ekta Kapoor’s old favourite,returns to the centrestage with this show as Priya. This is her first lead in a fiction show after Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. Ram Kapoor,another loyalist from the production house,plays Ram — the rich industrialist. Most of the others on the cast are newcomers.

What’s hot? Balaji may no longer be at the top,but is surely willing to take risks. The storyline,with mature adults who make for a couple,is refreshing. However,it’s Tanwar and Ram who drive the show. In ill-fitting jeans and knee-length kurtas,Tanwar plays Priya with restrained maturity. Ram,on the other hand,fits the bill in his sharp suits,comic timing and quirks,sometimes reminiscent of Tony Shalhoub as Adrian Monk,in the television series Monk. The show also provides relief from the poor camera angles that Indian TV is now so famous for.

What’s not? The show got a weak start and the story didn’t seem to head anywhere in the first few episodes. Besides,it seemed too far-fetched for Priya and Ram to keep bumping into each other. However,the producers seem to have replaced the director with a new one and the difference is visible. But Renuka Israni’s character,as Priya’s mother,on the show continues to be loud and unpleasant. The hamming makes one want to skip to another channel.

Should you be watching it?

Watch this show for Tanwar and Ram alone. Their love story is just beginning to develop and it would be interesting to watch how well the makers deal with the relationship between two mature characters.
