Lara fixes her match with Mahesh

The celebrations will kick off with a registered marriage in Goa on February 17,which will be an intimate affair,attended by their close family members. Lara will wear a white sari from Ritu Kumar’s recently launched Falaknuma collection for the occasion. “I have designed an elegant sari for Lara for her registered wedding,” says Kumar,but refuses to give details. Could it be the one we spotted on the ramp at the recent show by Kumar? The one with the gold border which was quite understated as compared to the other ensembles. It did catch our eye and we assume it also caught the eye of Lara,who attended the fashion show.

The registered wedding will be followed by a sangeet at Club Fresh,a beach resort on Morjim beach in North Goa. Considering that Club Fresh was one of the hottest party spots of 2010,it is apparent that Lara and Mahesh want their sangeet to be hot and happening too.

The two will be dressed in traditional attire designed by Delhi-based Manav Gangwani. Though Gangwani,a Bollywood favourite,confirms the news,he refuses to give details. “I have committed to Lara and Mahesh not to disclose any details of their outfits,” he confesses.

The most lavish of the functions will be the Victorian-style church wedding which will be held on January 19. Lara has chosen to wear an Elie Saab wedding gown for the occasion. After all,very few do wedding gowns the way the Lebanese designer does. The nuptials will be followed by a reception at Taj Vivanta in Panaji. It is at this sprawling property that the Who’s Who of Bollywood are expected to turn up in large numbers. The exhaustive list of invitees features names such as Shah Rukh Khan,Salman Khan,Akshay Kumar,Priyanka Chopra,Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Mahesh’s frequent doubles-partner Leander Paes is also expected to attend the do with wife Rhea Pillai.

Mahesh started dating Lara a couple of years back after his split from model Shweta Jaishankar. Lara found her soulmate in him,after dating Kelly Dorjee for eight years and then Dino Morea for a while. But according to our reliable sources none of the exes has received invites for the functions. Seems like Lara and Mahesh prefer moving on with the times.
