IT park: Govt extends deadline

The Uttar Pradesh Government has extended the last date for submission of expression of interest (EoI) for its ambitious IT park scheme in Lucknow by another week.

Earlier,the last date for submission of EoI for selection of developer was August 6,which was extended by 15 days when only two private players expressed their interest to develop the IT park. However,this has again been extended till August 25 and since August 25 is a Saturday,the document would be opened only on August 27,which is Monday.

This time,the government has extended the date citing the recent holidays as the reason. There were lot of holidays in the past 15 days because of which offices were closed. Thus,August 25 has been decided as the last date for submission of EoI for development of the IT park,said an official.

On August 6,Gurgaon-based Raheja Developers and Hyderabad-based Aditya Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation Pvt Ltd were the only two companies which had applied for development of the IT park,which is proposed on an area of about 32 acre available with the Lucknow Industrial Development Authority.
