Lucknow: Aiming at extending its base and making the party more effective in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the Assembly elections,due next year,the Rastriya Lok Dal on Tuesday revamped its state executive. Thakur Dalvir Singh,a former minister,has been appointed as the vice-president of the 51-member state executive. Besides,13 general secretaries,as many secretaries,23 members and a treasurer have been appointed,party members said.

Two held for supplying arms

Lucknow: The police arrested two persons from Mohanlalganj area for supplying fire arms to various gangs. Arvind aka Sonu and Shahabuddin Ansari were arrested on Monday evening during routine vehicle checking drive,said police. Two pistols were also recovered from them.
