A history-sheeter village pradhan from Hathras was allegedly shot dead in Kwarsi area of Aligarh on Thursday. Police said Bhanupratap alias Neetu,pradhan of Gangchauli village in Hathras had been shot dead by a group of men in a car to Gadrana village,where he had come to attend a marriage. Police said the incident was the outcome of a rivalry between the pradhan and another criminal Monu,also a resident of Hathras. Prakash D,DIG (Aligarh Range),said Neetu had more than a dozen criminal cases against him and was a history sheeter in Hathras. Neetu died on spot after he suffered four gunshots while his cousin Manveer was beaten up. Police have lodged an FIR against four persons from Hathras who were led by Monu. The DIG said police have detained some persons and trying to arrest the named accused persons.
