Girl missing after Holi,found raped,dead

The body of 10-year-old girl,who had gone missing on Wednesday while playing Holi at Shivthann village in Mishrikh area of Sitapur,was found on Thursday at a secluded spot in the village.

Police said the girl seemed to have been raped before she was killed by the miscreants. No arrest has been made so far in this connection.

Mother,son die after feast,four others critical

A mother-son duo died due to food poisoning after they allegedly consumed food cooked on the occasion of Holi in village Lohardeeh in Khandare area of Gonda. Four others condition is said to be critical. According to District Magistrate Roshan Jocob,six persons,including five members of a family,fell ill after consuming food specially cooked for celebrating Holi on Wednesday night. All of them were rushed to the hospital,where Lagna Devi (55) and his son Saligaram (35) died,four others continue to be in critical condition,he said. Police is probing the matter,he said.
