Lucknow: Hindi satirist and Padma Shri awardee K P Saxena has been admitted to a hospital in serious condition in Lucknow. Saxena,81,who was suffering from tongue cancer and had been operated upon recently,was having difficulty in breathing and was admitted to a private hospital on Monday night,family said.

8 held for murder of woman,robbery

KANPUR: Police Friday arrested eight people in connection with the alleged robbery and murder of the wife of a local businessman. Among those arrested is a vegetable vendor,police said. On August 23,55-year-old Asha was found murdered in the Govindnagar area of the city.

Muzaffarnagar: A bank manager has gone missing on way to office in Mansoorpur area. Vipin Choudhry,manager of Mansoorpur branch of PNB,had Thursday left home in Meerut for office,but did not reach there,police said.
