BJP MPs ready progress report on constituency work
Jhansi MP Uma Bharti’s constituency representative Jagdish Singh Chauhan said the minister has asked him to prepare a report of the work done in Jhansi in past one year.

As directed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP MPs and allies of the NDA government in Uttar Pradesh are busy preparing a report card of the work done in their respective Lok Sabha constituencies in past one year which would be submitted to the PM and party president Amit Shah. The reports, in the form of booklets and pamphlets, are also being distributed by MPs among people of their constituencies and party workers.
Union Cabinet Minister and Jhansi MP Uma Bharti’s constituency representative Jagdish Singh Chauhan said the minister has asked him to prepare a report of the work done in Jhansi in past one year. “I am compiling details of the projects sanctioned by the central government. I will send the report to mantriji by June 2,” Chauhan said.

Kanpur Mahanagar BJP president Surendra Maithani said a report card of the work done in Kanpur on initiatives of local MP and senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi has been prepared and it was being communicated to the public through party workers.

Meanwhile, MPs such as Harish Dwivedi, Satyapal Singh, Satish Kumar Gautam and Kuwar Harivansh Singh (Apna Dal) have already got their booklets printed and are ready to distribute them among the people of their constituencies in Basti, Sambhal, Aligarh and Pratapgarh, respectively .
Dwivedi’s 36-page booklet titled ‘Basti ke badhte kadam – sirf wade nahin, sankalp bhi’ was released by BJP Rajya Sabha member and former chief editor of Panchjanya, Tarun Vijay in Basti district on Tuesday.
“So far, I have got 10,000 copies of the booklet printed to be distributed among the workers and the villagers to highlight the development and welfare works I have done in my constituency and about the projects approved by the Centre for Basti,” Dwivedi told The Indian Express.
Kunwar Harivansh Singh, during a public meeting in presence of Union HRD minister Smriti Irani in Amethi on Tuesday, had said, “Modi ji has directed every MP to present a report of works done in their constituencies before the public. I have prepared a report card of my work in Pratapgarh in a 42-page booklet.”

Sambhal MP Satyapal Singh said he has prepared his report card in the form of pamphlets in which he has given details of the works done in his constituency. “Apart from that, I have emphasised on highlighting achievements of the Narendra Modi government and its comparison with policies of previous UPA government,” Satyapal said.
Umesh Upadhyay, representative of Satish Kumar Gautam, said details of development works completed in Aligarh have been collected for preparations of the report card.
Lucknow MP and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s representative Diwakar Tripathi said though he has compiled details of the works done and sanctioned on Rajnath’s initiatives, he has not received any directive for making any such booklet.
Farmers put up posters of ‘missing’ MP
Jalaun: While other MPs are preparing report cards of their works done, a farmers’ group ‘Kisan Sangharsh Vikas Morcha’ has displayed posters of BJP MP from Jalaun Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, announcing cash reward of Rs 101 for anyone who provides information about the MP. In the posters, the group has claimed that the MP was ‘missing’ from his constituency ever since he won the elections. Jalaun BJP district president Jagdish Tiwari too admitted that Bhanu Pratap has not been public-friendly. Following this incident, BJP Bundelkhand region president Ram Ratan Kushwaha has asked the MP to meet the public at least every weekend. (ENS)
