A Rewarding Trip

Everybody yearns for memorable travel — but rarely do we get a chance to salute the professionals who make our vacations enjoyable,entertaining,safe and gratifying. On Wednesday,the GMR Express TravelWorld Awards 2010-2011 raised a toast to these experts,highlighting their unique innovations in the travel and hospitality industry. Awards were given out in 17 categories,which included low-cost airlines and tour operators as well as high-end hotels. The pertinent question whether travelling in India is about confronting the past was debated upon by industry bigwigs in a panel discussion on “Tourism in this country is only about heritage”.
