Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Thursday lashed out at the Centre for its alleged anti-people policies and said that her government would continue its jihad against it. The chief minister made the remark at a rally in Howrah where she met the top brass of the district administration while taking stock of the development programmes.
Kendra jaliye puriye khacche (the Centre is making our life hell). They are increasing the prices of petro-products and fertilizers. They are doing everything at their will. But we will not sit idle. We will continue with our protests, the chief minister said at the rally.
Referring to the riots raging in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh,Mamata said that she would not tolerate any such communal tension in her state. I am quite averse to any riots and I will see nothing of that happens here, Mamata said.
Earlier at the administrative meeting the chief minister was informed by officials that the shifting of a part of Writers Building to the HRBC building at Howrah could be delayed by five to six days due to technical reasons.
