TMC opposing CBI probe out of fear: Congress

The Congress party on Thursday said the Trinamool government was opposing a CBI probe into the chit fund scam fearing it would reveal information which would prove “dangerous” for it. “TMC ministers,including the chief minister,are arguing against a CBI inquiry putting forward untenable reasons because of fear,” said state Congress chief Pradip Bhattacharya. “They know a CBI probe will reveal some information which will prove dangerous for them,” he added.
