Trinamool MP Suvendu Adhikary,has expressed willingness to resign from the post of state president of Trinamool Youth Congress taking moral responsibility of the parts defeat in Haldia municipality. Following announcement of poll results,Adhikary held a meeting at Durgachowk in Haldia and told his party cadres that he wants to resign. Adhikary,who was given free hand to manage the election machinery in Haldia,reportedly told his followers that he has lost the right to retain the post anymore following his parys debacle in Haldia. Later,he was learnt to have contacted the party top leaders and expressed his willingness to quit from the post of the president of Trinamool Youth Congress. Adhikary could not be contacted for his comments. A Trinamool insider said the party does not want Adhikary to resign at this point of time because such a move would send a wrong signal. The party leaders are trying to convince Adhikary,it was learnt.
