Ordinance an eyewash: Biman

Left Front chairman Biman Bose on Monday said the ordinance was an eyewash and that the CM intended to shield Sudipta Sen and buy more time for him. “The state government wants to protect Sudipta Sen. CM Mamata Banerjee knows that it would be a time consuming process for the ordinance to become a Bill,” Bose alleged. Reacting to the allegation of TMC that these chit fund companies had come up during the CPM reign,he said,“These companies were okayed by the Centre. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was then the governor of RBI. Why didn’t he act against these? We had written to the Centre on August 22,2011 warning about these companies and suggested that the Centre and state take steps together to solve the issue.” Bose proposed that the property of Saradha group be seized and sold off to repay as many investors as possible.
