The students in the state will have 3,500 more engineering seats to choose from. The Joint Entrance Examination Board said today that the All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has given permission to five more engineering colleges leading to the increase of 3,500 engineering seats in the state. With this,now the state has 78 private engineering colleges and seven government colleges which will accommodate 28,000 students.
The Joint Entrance Examination Board has released a merit list of 60,000 students who will appear for counselling which begins on Saturday.
