4 Bangladeshi criminals arrested from Garia

Acting on a tip-off,a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) team arrested four Bangladesh nationals — all convicted by a Bangladeshi court on various murder charges — from a rented house in Garia on Monday.

The four criminals — Nurul Islam,Wadul Islam,Sadayat Ahmed and Jakir Hossain — were hiding in Garia with fake identities.

CID Additional Director-General Bhupinder Singh said that one of the criminals was convicted for killing an Awami League legislator,a student leader and a political leader in Bangladesh recently. They were arrested after a night-long search operation was launched in the Garhia area of South Kolkata.
