(Express file photo by Shuaib Masoodi) Describing the situation in Jammu and Kashmir “normal like in any other part of the country”, the J&K Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday said the youth of Jammu and Kashmir by choosing peace over war have given a clear answer to all those who used to say that abrogation of Article 370 will lead to more alienation and there will be no one left to hold the Tricolour in the Valley.
“The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is as normal as in any other place in the country,’’ he told reporters, adding “we shall be happy that for the last eight months, not a single local youth has joined militant ranks’’.
“This credit goes to our youth and the people who have chosen peace over war,’’ the Apni Party leader said.
He also lauded the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for announcing various road projects and tunnels for Jammu and Kashmir.
