BSF constable missing from post near LoC

The constable, who hails from Bihar, was posted at Bharani post in Balakote sector, the police said.

A spokesperson for the MC, however, said the family had encroached on 71 square yards of government-owned land and failed to vacate it despite repeated notices and warnings.

A Border Security Force personnel is reportedly missing since Friday from a forward post near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.

The constable, who hails from Bihar, was posted at Bharani post in Balakote sector, the police said.

A missing report was lodged with the Mendhar police station after BSF troops failed to trace the constable after searching the area.

Police sources quoting BSF officers said the missing jawan had in the past not reported for duty and gone home without informing his seniors.
