Who are Ajit Tyagi and Sarvesh Mishra?

According to an AAP leader, both were, alongside Singh, part of Arvind Kejriwal’s anti-corruption movement.

Originally from Lucknow, Mishra was appointed as the AAP’s Uttar Pradesh spokesperson in February 2022. Apart from being Singh’s private secretary, he is also on the list of the party’s national media panellists and has appeared in many political and TV debates.

“It was his birthday today. His father has cancer and was recently brought to Delhi for treatment. They are just being harassed,” said a party member.

An AAP insider said that Mishra managed Singh’s work related to Parliament as well as his interns. “He was recently made the UP spokesperson. He is very close to Sanjay Singh and used to live with him and his family in one house till a few months ago. He recently moved out of his (Singh’s) house owing to his father’s illness,” said the party leader.

Mishra would also manage requests from people who were desperate for getting treatment in Delhi government hospitals, party insiders said.

He completed his schooling from Lucknow and graduated in journalism from Sardar Patel College of Mass Communication. According to his Facebook profile, he is also vice-president of an NGO called Students United for India.

Ajit Tyagi belongs to west Delhi and is usually seen with Singh. “He is always with Sanjay-ji and drives his car. He manages his personal work, handles travel and other party work for him,” said an AAP member.

Tyagi has also been associated with the AAP since the anti-corruption movement.
