Earlier, Congress offered four Delhi seats to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to ensure the rout of BJP. However, in response to Congress' offer, AAP leadership asked for three seats in Haryana and one in Chandigarh.
The two parties had come to an understanding for Delhi, where AAP would have contested on four seats and Congress on three. But AAP’s demands outside the city played spoiler. The Congress, meanwhile, hit back at AAP, questioning its sincerity in defeating the BJP.
Sanjay Singh also urged the prime minister to appoint an eligible person as Lokpal whose credentials could not be questioned. He claimed that a sitting judge of the Supreme Court was reportedly being considered for the post.
Amarinder Singh met Congress president Rahul Gandhi after which he said AAP is now non-existent in Punjab. Many Punjab Congress leaders told The Indian Express that the implosion in the AAP has weakened it considerably, and that it does not have the same traction among people that it enjoyed in 2017.

Congress leaders K C Venugopal and Ranjeet Ranjan today gave the privilege motion against Irani, citing her arrogance and blatant lies as the reason for doing so.The privilege motion against Irani is being moved with regard to the discussion related to the suicide of PhD scholar Rohith Vemula in August last year.
