Adding item numbers to jazz up a film is the reigning trend these days. The grapevine has it that after Malaika Arora Khan,Katrina Kaif,Chitrangada Singh,Vidya Balan and Mallika Sherawat,Tabu might join the ever-increasing list of item girls. The makers of Maximum are said to have approached Tabu for an item number in the film. If she agrees,the 40-year-old actor will be dancing to the Hindi rendition of the popular song Aa Ante Amalapuram from the Telugu blockbuster Arya whose rights have been bought.

Step Up

This is a smart move on part of UTV. The production house,which has had a hit film in Paan Singh Tomar after a long list of flops,is cashing in on the opportunity. After the biopic’s success,they have launched an ambitious project,ABCD – AnyBody Can Dance Indias first 3D dance film. The film is being directed by choreographer-turned-director Remo D’Souza. He has also signed some of the finest dancers for this film. While Prabhudheva and Ganesh Acharya play lead roles,Dance India Dance winners Salman Khan,Dharmesh,Prince,Mayuresh and Vrushali,along with Lauren Gottlieb,the global winner of the popular television show So You Think You Can Dance,will be part of the film’s cast.
