Originally from Rajasthan,Gulab Devi knows this time also her vote will go to the Congress candidate her family has always voted for the party.
And this decision remains unchanged even after she heard BJP candidate Meera Kanwaria addressing a gathering of women in fluent Rajasthani. But she was certainly happy to hear a woman from her community speak confidently to a crowd.
Devi complains about the poor water and electricity supply in her locality,but does not expect the next government to do anything about it. She had trusted the local MLA,but even he did not fulfil his promises.
I dont think ration card and ownership of plots are issues as big as water and electricity. It is unbearable,especially in summers,to do without a good water supply, she says.
Politics does not interest her much. She just hopes her problems,shared by most women in the area,are resolved soon.
