Warm day,but second coldest night

Three days after the Capital shivered through the coldest day in last 50 years,the maximum temperature climbed to 21.3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

Three days after the Capital shivered through the coldest day in last 50 years,the maximum temperature climbed to 21.3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. The night temperature,however,settled at 3.9 degrees Celsius — the season’s second lowest till now.

On Sunday,the maximum temperature was recorded at 11 degrees Celsius.

“With the increase in the maximum temperature,the minimum temperature will also rise. It is likely to increase to 5 to 6 degrees in the next few days. By the end of this week,it will be significantly higher,” said the official on duty at the Safdarjung Met Department.

In contrast to grey,sunless days in the beginning of the week,Wednesday was sunny and there was no cold wind. According to the weatherman the pleasant weather will stay for while. On Monday,the Met department had predicted rains over the weekend. However,this has been revised to no rains for the next four days.
