The incident occurred around 11 am,when Hirein Sharma, also an executive member of the Delhi Bar Association (DBA),came out of a court room after appearing on behalf of his mother, who is entangled in a civil dispute with a former tenant.
According to the complaint filed by Sharma, the tenant,Jyoti Rajput, was accompanied by three-four persons during the hearing, and when Sharma came out of the courtroom, they followed him to the police chowki in the court premises.
Then they got into a heated argument with him and Sharma was overpowered by Rajputs accomplices. A pepper spray was subsequently sprayed into his eyes,Sharma has alleged.
He was rushed to Ambedkar Hospital and was discharged later in the day.
When contacted,Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Atul Katiyar said no FIR had been lodged yet in the matter and nobody had been taken into custody.
