Two more docs held in question paper leak case

Two more doctors were arrested from Central Delhi for allegedly taking the help of racketeers to clear the All India PG Medical Entrance Examination conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

Two more doctors were arrested from Central Delhi for allegedly taking the help of racketeers to clear the All India PG Medical Entrance Examination conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

Dr Sai Balender Bakshi (35) and Dr Vimal Dangi (31),who appeared in the entrance exam on Sunday,were arrested from Rajinder Nagar on Thursday.

The two doctors are alleged to have taken the help of a well-organised gang

involved in leaking question papers of entrance examinations of leading institutions.

Earlier this week,police arrested five persons for allegedly leaking post graduate medical entrance papers and helping some candidates by providing answers over mobile phone and Bluetooth.

The gang,which allegedly charged Rs 25-35 lakh from each candidate,used a sophisticated software to email images of the question paper taken by two MBAs,posing as PG aspirants,using mobile phones and Bluetooth concealed in their shirts.

The alleged kingpin of the racket,Mohit Choudhury (23),a second year MBBS student from Indore Medical College,and his associates have already been arrested by police. Dr Amit Punia (23),who had also taken help of the gang to clear the test,too was arrested.

According to police,Bakshi and Dangi had come into contact with a doctor doing his post graduation from the same medical college in Indore where Choudhury was pursuing his MBBS. He told the duo that Choudhury could help them clear the PG entrance test.

“They contacted Choudhury in the first week of January and struck a deal with him. Choudhury told them that if they qualified,they would have to pay him Rs 18 lakh each,” said Ashok Chand,DCP (Crime).

On the day of the exam,Choudhury met Bakshi and Dangi at a hotel in Paharganj. He allegedly gave them shirts with the Bluetooth-enabled handsfree devices stitched into them,a minute earphone,and a SIM card.

Dangi,who hails from Udaipur,completed his MBBS from Ukraine.

Bakshi,who hails from Jamshedpur,did his MBBS from Karnataka.
