Two held for killing software engineer

Vivek Bhardwaj,the software engineer who was killed near his sister’s house in Janakpuri earlier this week,lost his life for refusing to part with his mobile phone and wallet,which contained Rs 350 and credit cards. On Friday,the police arrested Shashi and his accomplice Raju who stabbed Vivek when he resisted their attempt to rob him.

The police arrested Shashi from near Uttam Nagar Terminal following a tip off. During interrogation Shashi disclosed that he had committed the crime with one Raju and used the money to buy drugs and liquor. Vivek’s mobile phone and and credit card have been recovered. Raju was apprehended by a Crime Branch team from Dabri Mor around 9 am.

After killing Vivek,the police claimed,the duo also stabbed Raju’s neighbour Mukesh with whom he had an old enmity. However,Mukesh survived the attack.
