Three held for forging OBC certificates

Police said the gang offered OBC certificates to those applying for jobs and charged them a hefty fee.

Police on Monday arrested three persons on charges of using fake stamps of senior officials for obtaining OBC certificates. Several fake stamps and 15 application forms for obtaining OBC certificates were recovered from them, police said.

Police said Mukesh Dixit (47), Dharm Pal (50) and Bhopal (48) were arrested from a shop in Sunder Nagri. The shop, police said, is owned by an advocate, who is currently on the run.

“We received information about a gang preparing documents using fake stamps. A raid was conducted and all three were nabbed red-handed,” DCP (Northeast) Veenu Bansal said.
