Noida reported three new cases of H1N1 influenza today.

Anirudh Arora,a 13-year-old student of Class IX at Vishwa Bharati Public School,was referred to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in Delhi after he tested positive for the flu at a private hospital here. The district’s Chief Medical Officer,M L Mishra said: “Currently,medical facilities at Noida’s private hospitals can only conduct tests for the flu,so he was referred to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital after he tested positive.”

A team formed by the district administration also visited the school and check on those the boy came in contact with.

“We were invited by the school to speak about swine flu and its symptoms after a student there tested positive,” Mishra said.

A student of biotechnology at Amity University was the second confirmed case of swine flu.

“We have been informed that the patient,a resident of Malviya Nagar,is admitted at a facility there,” R K Singhal,nodal officer for H1N1 facilities in Noida,added.

The third confirmed case is a resident of Brahmaputra Apartments,Sector-49,Preeti Behlwal. A team of doctors visited her residence and gave precautionary vaccination to her sister who stays with her.
