Like many photography enthusiasts,Ashok and Novel Lavasa, went trekking with a digital camera slung over their shoulder, indulging in their favourite hobby.
Photographs from their various holidays of serene landscapes across India have resulted in an exhibition called Inward Eye,a collection of 37 images, taken between 2002 and 2009,currently on show at the Open Palm Court gallery,India Habitat Centre.
My wife and I find photography very relaxing, says Lavasa,Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs where he is looking after the central paramilitary forces.
From the placid Gangotri to the idyllic blue sky of Ladakh, the images have an air of spontaneity and are refreshing. Look out for the most enduring one titled Dependable Sun,that captures the sun as a single, glowing lamp.
