Oct 7,2008: Introduction of a four-year format features on agenda of Academic Council (AC) meetings

Feb 1,2011: V-C Dinesh Singh meets teachers representatives to discuss curriculum,pedagogy,infrastructure and other issues

Feb to May,2012: Consultation process intensified. V-C and his team meet 400 teachers. Four-year programme discussed,teachers asked for feedback

Sept 6-7,2012: Academic Congress,Enabling the Young: Redefining Education held. University officials claim the congress made a recommendation for a four-year programme

Sept,2012: Task force,headed by Professor Vivek Suneja,set up

Dec 17,2012: Notice for meeting of AC sent along with agenda papers,including a report on the task force recommending a four-year programme

Dec 24,2012: AC passes/adopts 4-yr structure in special meeting. The 61 members of the task force are special invitees to this meeting. Notes of dissent issued by six members of AC

Dec 26,2012: Executive Council approves minutes of AC meeting

Jan 22,2013: Proposed structure with foundation courses put up on the DU website

Feb 20,2013: Meeting of HoDs with V-C to discuss framing of structure and syllabi

March 5,2013: First official communication about framing syllabi.

April 16,2013: Letter to colleges to finalise reappropriation of BA/ BCom/ BSc Programmes and calculation of work

May 2,2013: Orientation session with 3,000 school students
