He is among the five winners of a story writing contest called “Kahaani Masters”, organised by Toonz Animaton India and Disney Channel. Garg’s story titled Mayank ki Maina is about a boy who pesters his father to bring him a mynah.

The other winners include Animesh Nigham, 7, from Bhopal; Suhani Shrikande, 10, from Nagpur, whose story relates to her own experiences with a sponge ball; Mayul Verma, 11, from Agra, who has written about a piano with magical powers that spreads happiness through music; and Aryan Sharma, 9, from Delhi, who looks at the power of friendship. These stories will be made into a short animation film to premiere on Disney Channel in January, next year.
