In tune with change

At Stephen’s,many students seemed well-versed with the new DU admissions process. A number of them said they had spoken to faculty members and felt the new system was more student-friendly. “We can simply walk into any college whose cut-off criteria we meet,” said Heena from Kolachi Hanraj School.

Similar views were voiced by Kanika Saxena,a specially abled child from Apeejay School,Pitampura. Wheeling into the St Stephen’s campus,Saxena said: “The university has made life easier for us. I scored 87.2 per cent and am applying for Economics (Honours),English (Honours) and Psychology (Honours). My dream college is SRCC,” she said.

An international-level chess player, she is hopeful of making it to a good institution under the sports quota.

A few were not happy with the changes made in the admission process. Simran from Lovely Public School said she preferred common application forms over the new paper-less method.
