Headless body found along roadside in Ghaziabad

Prima facie it seemed that the murder was committed elsewhere and the body dumped in Ghaziabad. The body has been sent to Hindon Mortuary for autopsy.

“We found some tyre marks, which could be from an e-rickshaw or an auto. Last year, a similar incident had happened wherein we found that the crime was committed in Delhi and the body was dumped here,” Gautam said.

“The body looks fresh. We feel that it has been approximately six hours since it was dumped. It is the body of a man aged between 25 and 35 years. The body had an orange shirt and a black trouser. It has a tattoo on the right hand which is not readable and we did not find any identity card of the victim,” he further said.

The police have formed two teams to investigate the case. One team will gather CCTV footage and the other has been deputed to locate the severed head.
