DU increases fee for correction in degree, marksheets
The DU has increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 the fee for those seeking correction in marksheet within six years from the day of graduation and Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 for a period more than six years, according to the order.

Delhi University has increased the fee for students who seek correction in their degree certificate or marksheets, stated an official notification on Saturday.
The decision was taken last month following the recommendations of a committee constituted by Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh regarding charges for correction in the degree and marksheets of a student.
The university is set to charge Rs 1,000 for correction in a degree certificate up to six years from the day of graduation, and Rs 2,000 for more than six years post the graduation date. Several professors, who have been teaching at the varsity for decades, have claimed that the fee earlier was just Rs 500.
For corrections in marksheets, the varsity will charge the applicants the same amount as for corrections in the degree for the same period.
DU registrar Vikas Gupta said, “The charges for such changes have not been revised in a very long time, which is why the university has taken the move.”
A few teachers at the varsity have expressed concern regarding the move. Said a professor who wished not to be identified, “Charges of Rs 1,000 to 2,000 being levied for corrections by a government university are very high. What is the fault of the students that they would have to bear these charges.”
