Cop found dead,suicide suspected

New Delhi:A woman constable with the CRPF was found dead early on Sunday morning inside the forces camp in Dwarka,Southwest Delhi. Police said Siuli Pitra (22) was on sentry duty. Pitra,it seems,shot herself with her service rifle. No suicide note was recovered from her, said A K Ojha,DCP (South West). Her body was found when her colleague came to relieve Pitra from duty.

Man beats youth to death,arrested

New Delhi:A 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly beating a youth to death on the suspicion that he was having an affair with his mother. Police said Ankit Sharma thrashed one Ashish Dixit with a stick inside an under-construction building in Uttam Nagar on May 8.

Foetus found in North Delhi drain

New Delhi:A 5 to 6 months old foetus was recovered from a drain at Nathupura in Swarup Nagar,North Delhi,on Sunday morning. Residents had informed the police after a stray dog fished the foetus out of the drain. The gender of the foetus has not been ascertained yet.
