Take down ads of Coronil tablets as cure for Covid, Delhi HC tells Patanjali
The Delhi High Court also directed Google, Facebook and, X to take down the content from their platforms if Ramdev fails to do so within three days.

The Delhi High Court in an interim order on Monday directed Patanjali Ayurved to “forthwith delete and take down” from websites and social media its advertisement of Divya Coronil tablets as a cure for Covid-19.
“The conduct of the contesting defendants has been egregious, with continuing potential of public nuisance and mischief; with the balance of convenience and the potential for irreparable injury weighing in favour of the plaintiffs,” a single-judge bench of Justice Anup Bhambhani said.
The case of misleading advertisement against Patanjali was moved by the Resident Doctors Association of AIIMS, Rishikesh among others.
The HC prima facie held that putting out such material amounts to public nuisance and such statements and claims were made in “flagrant violation of, the statutory approvals, certifications and licences issued by the Ministry of Ayush”. In a 55-page order, the HC granted Patanjali three days to remove the posts and said that “prima-facie putting out such material amounts to public nuisance and a wrongful act that would affect the public-at-large.”
The petitioners had flagged nearly 17 such advertisements in public domain. The HC has restrained Patanjali and its management from making any such similar claim of Coronil being a cure for Covid-19 either through print, digital or electronic media until final disposal of the suit.
In case of non-compliance of the order, the court directed social media intermediaries, including Google, Facebook and Twitter, to take down such posts within three days.
