Cold wave conditions likely to prevail: IMD issues yellow alert in Delhi

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert warning that cold wave conditions will likely prevail over the next few days in Delhi.

On Monday, the minimum temperature in the Capital was 5.7°C, which is below season’s normal by 4.6°C satisfying the criteria for cold wave conditions in Delhi.

A cold wave is reported when the subdivision Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi reports departures below -4.4°C over at least 2 stations for two consecutive days.
