The Delhi Police on Tuesday apprehended two persons who were part of a theft of Rs 75 lakh from a businessman.

2 held for stealing from businessman

New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Tuesday apprehended two persons who were part of a theft of Rs 75 lakh from a businessman.

Officials recovered Rs 42 lakh of the stolen money from Sunil and Rakesh Kumar Rana on their arrest from Badarpur.

Police said that on October 20,the main accused Raju Chauhan had stolen Rs 75 lakh from the businessman,for whom he was working.

During investigation it was revealed that Sunil was a former employee of the businessman as well apart from the main accused Raju. After Raju took the money,he took his bike and rode to Dakshinpuri where he gave the money to Rakesh for safekeeping. A case has been registered against the three.

Denied money,jobless man kills mother

new delhi: A 20-year-old jobless man allegedly killed his mother by hitting her on the head with a wooden utensil over an altercation for money in Nihal Vihar on Tuesday.

The accused Titu Pal is absconding and police is on his lookout. The deceased Kiran (45) was rushed to a hospital but died on the way,police said.

“Titu asked for money and his mother refused. Angry over the denial,he took the wooden utensil and struck her on the head while she was in the kitchen preparing breakfast for the family” police said.
