Bhasin in lead
Delhi golfers Shamim Khan and Rudresh Sharma are placed joint second with identical totals of five-under 139,two strokes away from leader Kunal Bhasin at the halfway stage of the PGTI Players Championship,according to information reaching here. Delhi-based professional Raj Randhawa made a hole-in-one on the 17th hole during his round of even par 72. He is currently tied 14th at one-over 145. Fifty-three professionals and one amateur made the cut. Sharma (70-69) made five birdies and two bogeys in his second round of 69 as defending champion Anirban Lahiri,overnight leader Himmat Singh Rai and Vijay Kumar occupied joint fifth place at four-under 140. Gaganjeet Bhullars total reads one-under 143 and he is placed tied ninth.
Bhasin (69-68),a 10th tee starter on Wednesday,was looking down the barrel in the first half of his round,having bogeyed the 11th and 16th. However,the turnaround began with the 32-year-olds inspiring tee shot on the par-four second hole. Bhasin drove the green on the second and his ball landed three feet from the pin. The resultant eagle spurred him on to pick up four more strokes on the remaining seven holes. Kunal,a winner on the PGTI in 2009,went on to birdie the fourth,fifth,sixth and ninth.
Anuj scalps four wickets
Anuj Rai finished with a four wicket haul ( 4/20) and his bowling figures along with those of Sidharth Sharma (3/26) and Khajith Sharma (3/22) helped Ravindra Academy beat Modern School,Barakhamba Road by 5 wickets to enter the semi-final of the 4 th Peacock cricket tournament at Gargi College ground.

Mor shines
Sandeep Mor (80 run and 2/12) came through with a match winning all round performance as Najafgarh Sports Club beat TCA by 72 runs in the 3 rd Baba Hari Das Sports Complex in Najafgarh. Mor was ably assisted by Divakar Shokeen (50) and Mukesh (2/20) in the win that gave Najafgarh Sports Club 4 points in the tournament.

Ansari smashes century
Sultan Ansari first picked up two wickets (2/30) and then was devastating with the bat ( 122 run) as Mount Cricket Club crushed Century Club by 9 wickets to get four points in the DDCA league at PGDAV ground. Assisting Sultan Ansari with an other all round display was Bharat Gupta (51 run n.o and 2/34).

Himmat slams double ton
Himmat Singh smoked 27 fours and 12 sixes in his matchwinning 241 run knock that helped Sonnet Club beat Gyan Bharti Academy on the basis of a first innings lead in the 2nd Khushal U-17 Days cricket tournament at Gyan Bharti School,Saket. Bharat Gupta (101),Anmol (37 n.o) and Arjun (4/26) also contributed to the win that took Sonnet to the quarterfinals.
