A 60-year-old man was killed and three others injured when an under-construction wall collapsed in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar on Monday evening.

NEW DELHI: A 60-year-old man was killed and three others injured when an under-construction wall collapsed in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar on Monday evening. “We received a call regarding the incident at 5. 45 pm from the Chawkandi Extension area of Tilak Nagar. Two fire teams were rushed to the spot,” the official said. According to officials,the four were taken out of the rubble and rushed to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital,where one of them,identified as Vijay,was declared dead on arrival. “Satish (32), Jaipal (35) and Azad (34) are in a critical condition and are undergoing treatment,” the official added.

2,000 students given school books

New Delhi: Around 2,000 needy students were given school textbooks and writing material by Samajik Karyakarta Parishad during the organisation’s 45th year celebrations at Jain Mandir on Sunday.
